该剧翻拍自同名日剧，试图寻找韩国社会中作为夫妻生活的意义，讲述做出危险选择并拉响家庭战争的夫妻故事。
以Sookie去了精灵界开始，在精灵界Sookie遇到了她的爷爷，她爷爷告诉她只是来了两天而已，但是精灵界的两天相当于人界的二十年。 Sookie离开精灵界回到人界，已经是一年后。Sam与一群变形人好友乐得聊天，而Tara则离开了小镇，而此时的Bill已经是路易西安纳州的新王。Eric则隶属于他。而原来Bill则是当权者们派往原来Queen的间谍。 此时的Jessica也与爱郎Hoyt在一起了。而Lafayette与他的同性恋男友则开始参加一些巫师聚会。聚会是由一个热爱魔法的老女人Marnie（本季大反派）所举办。 Marnie召唤出几百年前曾经对吸血鬼进行过大屠杀但最后被烧死的女巫役亡师Antoneo鬼魂。 Bill知道有女巫集会，派Eric去查探，结果在被Antoneo附身的Marnie施展咒语下失忆，开车回家的Sookie发现了失忆的Eric，于是将他带回家。没有了千年记忆的包袱及对人类的轻视与自我保护，Eric呈现单纯率真的本性。对于从前那个傲慢的千年吸血鬼，Sookie是又爱又怕，但是对于这个失忆版本的Eric， Sookie根本无法抗拒，渐渐地放下心防，即使死去奶奶的灵魂警告她，这种状态只是暂时的，但她仍无法控制地爱上Eric。而Jason则被豹人女友绑架，并且被性侵。虽然后来逃出生天，但却已经伤重，被路过的Jessica与Hoyt所救，同时也因为Jessica的血而与Jessica渐生情愫。 后来Eric和Sookie协助Bill对抗Marnie和她的巫师手下，混乱之中，Sookie被流弹打到，而Eric却被Marnie控制了。伤重的Sookie被Alcide和Bill所救，Bill将他的血给Sookie，救了她一命，然而体内有了两个吸血鬼血的Sookie却陷入了感情两难的局面。 在该季第10集，Sookie的精灵力量令到Eric恢复记忆，同时也发现Marnie才是幕后黑手，Antoneo只是受其操控的傀儡。 同时Lafayette也被发现是灵媒，可以看见鬼魂。而Sookie等人也因此被困在用作聚会的月神酒店。同一时候，Andy则与一精灵“相恋”。最后因为Sookie力量再次爆发而使得Marnie的咒语再次失效，而Bill与Eric则得以杀入酒店将Marnie枪决。但Marnie却冤魂不息，在Lafaytte进入熟睡时附身。
